How this course was developed

Beat The Beat is an American Red Cross Licensed Training Provider. This independent awareness course follows current adult CPR/AED principles and adds Beat The Beat’s gender-disparity education. It is not a Red Cross course and does not issue Red Cross certification.

Cardiac arrest is not a heart attack

CARDIAC ARRESTAn electrical problem

The heart suddenly stops pumping effectively. The person becomes unresponsive and is not breathing normally.

HEART ATTACKA circulation problem

Blood flow to part of the heart is blocked. The person is often awake and breathing, but symptoms still require urgent medical care.
